Abstract. This article describes the process of modeling the design culture of future architects with a focus on their professional training for continuing education. The problem of developing the content of the design culture of future architects and approaches to its formation in the process of studying at a university is currently very relevant for the higher education system, since the readiness of a modern specialist in the field of architectural production for continuing education allows him to productively navigate a rapidly changing world and solve effectively and autonomously as professional, so are the various life tasks. The article presents two object models: a structural and substantive model of the design culture of a personality and a structural and functional model of the design culture of future architects, and also provides a justification for a set of methodological approaches used in the process of systematically developing definitions of two fundamental research concepts: “design culture of a personality”, which serves as the basic basis for the key concept of the study, which is the concept of “design culture of future architects”. The basis for modeling the content of these concepts is the definitions of the components of the basic concepts. For the concept of "personal project culture", these are the concepts of “culture”, “personal culture”, “project”, “project culture”, “professional culture”, “project activity”; and the concepts of “project culture of future architects” are the concepts of “architecture”, “project” “design”, “project thinking”, “design-spatial thinking”. The article also substantiates the expediency of developing these models to understand the essence of the architect's design culture proper, the specific differences between this culture and the design culture of any person as an indicator of his personality culture, and also describes a set of methodological approaches that determine the logic of modeling the content of a key research concept and ensure the consistency of this process.
