Abstract. Education, like many other social spheres, is undergoing a period of digital transformation. This is due to a number of reasons that have arisen as a result of the transition from economy and production 2.0 to new science-intensive technologies of industry 4.0, where artificial intelligence, the use of virtual and augmented reality, fifth-generation communications, Internet of things, immersive technologies and others can be called a key development factor. These digital tools have successfully proven themselves not only in the economic and industrial spheres, but are also actively used by teachers at various levels of education in educational activities. The scientific article contains theoretical material on the problem of studying the introduction of digital technologies in education, including preschool education. This paper presents the practical use of gamification technology in the cognitive development of preschool children, outlines approaches to the definition of the phenomenon under study. The article provides an overview of modern digital tools that can be effectively used in classes with pupils of preschool educational organizations (PEE). These are digital applications, an interactive whiteboard. The article also presents the materials of researchers in the field of gamification of education and digitalization. The text instructively describes the use of such platforms as AppQuiz, «Drawing», «Animal Sounds», «What is superfluous», which, of course, will allow teachers to introduce them quickly in the implementation of the educational area «Cognitive Development», according to the Federal State Educational Standard of Preschool Education (FSES PE), at an innovative level, taking into account the age features of children and their needs, interests and aspirations. Gamification, in our opinion, significantly expands and enriches educational activities.
