Abstract. The article describes the experience of using different types of art in pedagogical practice. A historical review of art use in education and social sphere shows that scientists at all times were interested in principles of art impact on people. The analysis of art and pedagogy connection in the historical aspect proves that art plays a huge role in personality forming as a whole. In the twentieth century, researchers in different field of science and practice – teachers, doctors, speech pathologists, psychologists began to consider art not only as a means of developing and spiritualizing a person, but also as a field of activity that had therapeutic, preventive, restorative and correctional functions. At the end of the twentieth century art therapy was increasingly applied by psychologists, speech pathologists, teachers in cultural and educational institutions. Currently, art-therapeutic and artpedagogic technologies of dealing with uneven-aged students are constantly being researched and developed in ademic world. Art pedagogy is a pedagogical direction of art therapy and defined as a section of alternative pedagogy, in which subject-subject relations are given special importance, and as a game and socio-cultural pedagogy direction where pedagogical improvisation plays an essential role. The personality of a teacher, able to establish an educational and developing creative space, has a special meaning in art pedagogy. Nowadays various artpedagogic technologies are being working out in artpedagogics, aimed at the development of students’ thinking, emotional and volitional sphere and their vigorous activity as the educational process subjects through a game, art word, paintings, natural sounds, music, color, tactile sensations.
