Abstract

Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University is one of the basic higher educational establishments in Russia, a large scientific center of the Southern Urals. The university has its own scientific schools, several dissertation councils for the degrees of candidate and doctor of science. The Higher Attestation Committee under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation by its order of October 19, 2018 No. 27/303 established the dissertation council for the degree of candidate of science and the degree of doctor of science D 212.111.06 in the scientific specialty - 13.00.08 - Theory and methods of vocational education (pedagogical sciences) in  Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University.  The establishment of the dissertation council in Pedagogics in the technical university means the recognition of the humanities in a situation of social development. It was also made possible due to the scientific potential of the Institute for the Humanities   of NMSTU with its scientific schools under supervision of doctors of pedagogical sciences. At present, the problem of scientific pedagogical schools development appears very acute in higher education, with the concept of “scientific school” is quite ambiguous due to the complexity of scientific schools phenomenon, in general.
