Abstract: The theme of the East holds an important place in Ivan Bunin poems. There are a number of poems on the theme of the East in his work. The article focuses on Bunin's poems where he provides the image of Prophet Muhammad, describing it in the context of Eastern religious esthetics. The article presents structural-semantic analysis of Ivan Bunin's poems using the image of Prophet, which is archetypical for Eastern poetry. The poems have been written basing on the Koran's Ayats (Verses) which are commonly used to interpret the history of Islam and the Koranic literature.
