Abstract

The article presents an overview of the VI Petrovskie educational readings held in October 2018 in the city of Magnitogorsk, commemorating the martyr Peter, Metropolitan of Krutitsky, who spent the last years of his life in Magnitogorsk. This educational forum is the regional stage of the annual Christmas readings, which conclude the annual circle of regional readings and are held in Moscow under the auspices of the Russian Orthodox Church. Petrovskie educational readings in 2018 are devoted to the problem of the ratio of freedom and responsibility in the life of modern youth. This topic has led to a new format of the Readings - in the form of a panel discussion of representatives of various government and church structures. For two days, in the plenary and breakout sessions, the participants of the readings discussed the pressing problems of today's youth and ways to solve them.
