Abstract. The article examines the problem of developing readiness for adaptation among students of technical fields in the context of integrating educational and professional spaces. The key difficulty lies in the fact that there is still no single universal standard for assessing the readiness indicators for adaptation among students of technical fields in educational and professional environments, and most of the methods use an already completed fact of adaptation (or mal-adaptation) instead of predicting the potential of students in technical fields. From the perspective of the environmental approach, the author analyzes environmental factors and their impact on the process of developing readiness for adaptation among students of technical fields in educational and professional environmentsreadiness for adaptation, students in technical fields, environmental approach, adaptive potential of the individual, adaptation diagnostics, engineering education.
