Abstract. The issue of neologization of the Russian language in the first quarter of the current century, particularly within military discourse, is highly relevant. This lexical renewal is linked not only to Russia's special military operation but also to the escalation of international tensions and armed conflicts across various continents. The acceleration of neologization is driven by the digitalization that permeates all aspects of human life and the emerging global communication system. The author proves that the renewal of the Russian military lexico-phraseological fund occurs not only through borrowings but also as a result of a strong drive among Russian citizens for word and phrase creation based on native linguistic resources. Employing descriptive, comparative, and linguoculturological methods, the author analyzes several thematic groups of military neologisms, including multi-word units: names for new types of weapons, new forms of warfare, designations for warring units, military operations, participants in armed conflicts, as well as language units born in trenches and dugouts that reflect frontline life and the morale of soldiers. Special attention is paid to the value orientations embedded in many of these neologisms, including slogans and calls to action. The presented materials can be used in creating dictionaries of 21st-century neologisms and in teaching Russian to university and school students across Russia.
